The Rochester Branch conducts the following service projects on an annual basis:

Pre-K Planting
Each April, members teach approximately 350 pre-school children enrolled in the Rochester Community Schools Pre-K Program about gardening. Members go to the classrooms to teach the children and plant a small take-home garden of vegetables and flowers.

“Authors in April” Floral Arrangements
Floral arrangements are created for the Rochester Community School system’s annual “Authors in April” banquet.

Civic Planting
In May, members plant annual flowers at many Rochester community buildings and parks.

Garden Tour
Co-hosts an annual Garden Tour with the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm, held the third Thursday in June.

Children’s Garden
Actively involved in planning and maintaining the Children’s Garden at Van Hoosen Farm throughout the year.

Beautification Awards
In September, Beautification Awards are given to Rochester area businesses, subdivisions and public facilities that have helped to beautify the community through their plantings and/or landscaping.

Horticultural Therapy
Branch members conduct horticultural therapy activities for senior citizens and youth on a monthly basis.

Library Christmas Craft Workshop
A Christmas Craft workshop is conducted in November at the Rochester Public Library.

Kringle Market
Christmas wreaths are sold at the Kringle Market held in downtown Rochester on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Greens Market
Conducts a Greens Market, held annually since 1946, on Friday and Saturday during the week following Thanksgiving. All Greens Market profits are returned to the community through Projects and Financial Gifts.

Community Christmas Wreaths
Christmas wreaths or swags are donated to many community buildings each December.
